Who is the qualification for?
If you are looking to start a career within the dog grooming industry, this qualification is for you.
Working with animals is extremely rewarding but it can require long hours and, as such, dedication and enthusiasm within the role is a key to success.
The qualification is suitable of those aged 16 years and over.
City and Guilds recognised.
What do the qualifications cover?
You will gain the practical skills and knowledge that are important for working as a dog groomer.
You could work for a business or franchise, and it could be based in a salon or mobile unit, or,
work for yourself in your very own salon.

Mandatory content covers:

Preparing and grooming dogs prior to bathing

Bathing of dogs

Drying dogs and preparing a dog for styling

Moving and lifting dogs

Maintaining the cleanliness and bio security of the dog grooming environment

Professional conduct

An introduction to anatomical features, breed characteristics and behaviour of dogs

Basic k9 first aid
A 6 MONTH LEVEL 2 & 3 CITY AND GUILDS DOG GROOMING COURSES FROM £166.50 PER WEEK.
ADDITIONAL EXAM FEES FROM £650.
